On 08-01-2018 the volcanological guides of the Vulcan Vesuvius Presidium, together with the Alpine Rescue and the Carabinieri Forestali have put in safety and recovered a hiker of Polish nationality, stuck behind a cliff on the wall of Mount Somma. The in-depth knowledge of the territory and the mountaineering technique was particularly valuable for the recovery of the unfortunate hiker.
